Common questions
Frequently asked questions
Does the digital nomad visa make me tax resident in Spain?
Not by itself. Tax residence depends on spending more than 183 days in Spain in a calendar year or on the other criteria set out in the Spanish Personal Income Tax Law.
Can I apply the Beckham Law with the digital nomad visa?
Employees working remotely from Spain may elect the special regime if they meet its requirements. For self-employed professionals, access is more limited and requires a specific analysis.
Can I work for Spanish clients?
Self-employed professionals may do so provided that this work does not exceed 20% of their total activity.
